09 Nov Yoga and a Movie – Join Us December 2nd
Our friend Cheryl Babers Hagar is organizing an exclusive screening of the feature film AWAKE: The Life of Yogananda on Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:30pm at Robinson Film Center in Shreveport. A minimum of 40 tickets must be reserved before November 20th for this screening to take place.
Watch the movie trailer here and get inspired:
This powerful 86-minute documentary is about the Hindu mystic, Yogananda, who brought yoga and meditation to the West. He wrote the spiritual classic, Autobiography of a Yogi, which has inspired countless seekers such as George Harrison, Russell Simmons and Steve Jobs. Jobs read it every year and it was the only book he had on his iPad!
The New York Times wrote about AWAKE:
“Compelling…enough to make a modern soul look inwards.”
The LA Times calls it:
“a vivid, elegantly assembled portrait… an absorbing glimpse into the life and times of the world’s first superstar swami.”
With an astounding 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, AWAKE has been sweeping across the nation in screenings made possible by Gathr® “Theatrical on Demand.” For more info about AWAKE, visit www.awaketheyoganandamovie.com.
Again, a minimum of 40 tickets must be reserved before November 20th for this screening to take place!
Visit Gathr.us/screening/9291 and reserve your ticket now for $10.
Your credit card will not be charged until the critical number of 40 attendees is confirmed and the screening is guaranteed. When this was written, 19 tickets were still needed to be purchased for the viewing to happen.
This is such a fun way for our yoga community to come together. Make plans to join us at Aspire Yoga Center for our 5:30pm Vinyasa Flow class before heading to Robinson Film Center for the flick. We hope you’ll choose to spend your evening with us and enjoy Yoga and a Movie on December 2nd!
