Join Emily Mills for The Niyamas in Practice: A class that incorporates the teachings of the Niyamas into your yoga practice. 🧘♀️
This class is centered around the 2nd limb of yoga, the Niyamas, which are teachings that encourage us to have a positive relationship with our ego. ✨
Go deeper into the world of yoga as you learn about the Niyamas through breathwork, mantra, meditation and movement to cultivate a stronger relationship with yourself. 🥰
There are five Niyamas:
1. Cleanliness (Saucha)
2. Contentment (Santosha)
3. Discipline (Tapas)
4. Self-study (Svadhyaya)
5. Surrender (Isvara Pranidhana)
Dive into yogic philosophy during The Niyamas in Practice with Emily Mills on Saturday, November 4th from 2pm – 4pm, only at Aspire Yoga Center. 💙
Emily Mills first dove deeply into yoga in 2006 while living in Madrid, Spain. There, she practiced various styles of yoga, eventually completing Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training in 2011, as well as the Rebirthing Breathwork 9-Month Seminar.
After moving back to Shreveport, Emily has taught a variety of workshops and talks on holistic health and ecology in the local community, built a 4-acre thriving homestead, began to practice at Aspire Yoga Center, and completed Aspire’s 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training with Heather Delia in 2021.
Emily is particularly interested in breathwork and meditation, yoga philosophy and yoga as an embodiment practice. She teaches a variety of styles, aiming to give her students an experience of feeling at home in their bodies.
